Coraline

Costume designs for a live action adaptation of Coraline. Taking inspiration from the director Emerald Fenell. There is a clear distinction between the worlds to showcasing the temptation of The Other Mothers trap. For the overall aesthetic, I’m drawn to old film photos, with their washed out yet warm palette. However, when inverted they are blue toned which helps to make a visual difference. Throughout the film there is a mix of eras which help to give it this timeless feel that I have kept in my adaptation.
